Shailaja Behara, MD
Dr. Shailaja S. Behara graduated from medical school in India. She finished her residency in Internal Medicine in Evanston, Illinois, and fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Cook County Hospital, Chicago, IL. Dr. Behara entered private practice in 2001.

Nizar Charafeddine, MD

Carla Collier, NP
Carla Collier was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in the Sugar Land area. Carla completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas Medical Branch and is certified as an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
She has over 7 years of nursing experience at CHI Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. Carla is excited to join Dr. Charafeddine in the specialty field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She is currently seeing both new and established patients in the office.
In her free time, she enjoys being outside, watching baseball, gardening or walking the family dog with her husband and son.

Robert E. Davis, MD, FACG, FACP, AGAF
Dr. Robert Davis was born in Joliet, Illinois. Within his first year, his family moved to Richland, Washington. At the age of 8 his family moved to Aiken, South Carolina. After high school in Aiken, Dr. Davis attended Duke University on an athletic scholarship, completing his pre-med requirements with a major in chemistry with a minor in English. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed his Internal Medicine training at the Medical College of Georgia.

Sohaib Faruqi, MD
Dr. Sohaib Faruqi has been practicing Gastroenterology in north Houston, Cypress, Spring and Tomball areas since 2004. After, completing his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia, Dr. Faruqi did his Advanced Fellowship in Endoscopic Ultrasound from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He then served as Clinical Assitant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology at UTMB. Dr. Faruqi is board-certified in gastroenterology and specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various gastronitestinal disorders including diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gall bladder, and pancreas. He has expertise in various endoscopic procedures, such as upper GI endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and capsule endoscopy.

Keith H. Fiman, MD, FACG
Dr. Fiman attended college and medical school at Boston University, graduating with honors in 1986. He was elected to membership in both Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his internal medicine training and three year gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern medical center in Dallas. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.

Khanh N. Le, MD
Dr. Khanh Le received his Medical Degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in 2000 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Tulane University Medical Center and received six months of fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering with Magna Cum Laude honors from the Tulane University School of Engineering.

Ilyas Memon, MD
Dr. Ilyas Memon is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care to his patients and has over 10 years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of digestive and liver diseases.
Dr. Memon is trained and experienced in broad range of Gastro Intestinal procedures, including Endoscopy, Colonoscopy and ERCP. He is up to date on the latest cutting edge clinical and endoscopic technology and treatment.

Stacy Meuth, NP
Stacy Meuth is an Adult Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing in the field of gastroenterology since 2006 in the Richmond and Sugar Land area. She graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center- Houston Nursing School in 2001 and returned there for graduate school where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2005 with her degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
Since 2006, she has worked closely with her supervising physicians to provide compassionate and high quality care to her patients. Her clinical interests include treatment of patients with Hepatitis C, as well as both disease state and wellness education. She routinely sees both new and established patients in the office as well as patients in the hospital.
Stacy is the mother to two athletic children who keep her very busy with their many activities. She is also an avid Crossfitter who incorporates her own desire for fitness, nutrition and wellness into her personal life as well as her patient practice.

Dang M Nguyen, MD
Dr. Dang Nguyen has over five years of experience in the field of gastroenterology and is currently a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology. He received his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in 2004. As a medical student at Baylor, Dr. Nguyen participated in many volunteering works including caring for homeless patients of Houston and travel to Honduras with the Baylor Shoulder to Shoulder program to provide medical care to the underserved. Dr. Nguyen completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in 2010.

Atif Shahzad, MD
Dr. Atif Shahzad received his training in Gastroenterology and Liver Disease from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in 2007. He completed his Internship and Residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2004. While there he served as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine and received the Resident of the Year Award.
