Dr. Sohaib Faruqi has been practicing Gastroenterology in north Houston, Cypress, Spring and Tomball areas since 2004. After, completing his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia, Dr. Faruqi did his Advanced Fellowship in Endoscopic Ultrasound from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He then served as Clinical Assitant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology at UTMB.

Dr. Faruqi is board-certified in gastroenterology and specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various gastronitestinal disorders including diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gall bladder, and pancreas. He has expertise in various endoscopic procedures, such as upper GI endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and capsule endoscopy.

Dr. Faruqi serves on the medical staff at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, CHI St.Luke’s Hospital at The Vintage, Tomball Regional Medical Center, and Reliant Rehab Hospital. His offices are conveniently located in the Willowbrook and Tomball areas to provide services to patients in the North Houston, Cypress, Spring, and Tomball areas.

In the past, Dr. Faruqi has served as Chief of Medicine at Houston Methodist Willow brook Hospital, and Chief of Staff and a member of the Board of Directors at CHI St. Luke’s Hospital at The Vintage. He has written several scientific publications and has been published in various peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Faruqi firmly believes in compassionate and patient focused care where the patient and the physician work together to achieve quality healthcare.

Dr. Faruqi is a devoted husband and father of three children. Outside of his work, he regularly plays sports such as racquetball and squash. He enjoys listening to music and spending time with his family.
